ACCPNW Info: Bio - Peter Gishuru, CEO

  • Mr. Peter Gishuru, President and CEO
    African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest

    Mr. Gishuru, originally from Kenya, is the President and CEO of the African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from Seattle University with a degree in science, specializing in chemistry. Mr. Gishuru has extensive experience in running small businesses. He was the owner of an African imports store at Pike Place Market and Bay Pavilion for 14 years and was the owner of a small real estate company for 7 years. For the past 13 years, he has run the African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest, whose mission is to promote an environment of direct trade and investment between Africa and the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

  • African Chamber of Commerce Applies for MDCP Grant

    The overall vision of the African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest is to increase trade and investment relationships between businesses in Africa and the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The African chamber of Commerce is applying for the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) grant to assist the following companies in expanding and increasing their business in Africa.

  • Local Business Leaders Gather for Conference on Business with Africa,
    featuring Bill Gates, Sr. as Keynote Speaker

    On Saturday, November 13th, nearly 200 people gathered at the Red Lion Hotel for the 12th Annual Africa Day Business Forum. Organized by the African Chamber of Commerce of the Pacific Northwest (ACCPNW), the day-long conference seeks to promote business in Africa and trade relations between Africa and the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Attendees included local African business owners, business professionals pursuing business opportunities in Africa, non-profit leaders doing work in Africa, and experts on international commerce.
